Happy Wednesday, everyone! We’re mid-week, so that means another excerpt is coming up in this week’s #WritingWednesday. It’s been so windy and overcast lately, but also humid. I don’t really enjoy that combination. I’ll take it with warm weather so long as it’s NOT humid.
Monday’s Broadchurch had me on my toes because Matt Latimer FINALLY confronted Joe Miller, and there’s been a custody and Ellie finally knows who the boys got the porn from. If you’re not watching it, you’re probably going “what in the world is she talking about?” I can’t believe there’s only two episodes left.
Anyways, here’s today’s song.
Jour 27: A song that breaks your heart
I absolutely LOVE M. Pokora’s music and the original version of this song is one of my faves. However, there’s something about “Le monde – acoustique” that just pulls on your heartstrings and makes you feel. This song is about a lost love, about falling out of love with somebody. This version is just M. Pokora and a piano. When he sings, he sings with heart, with feeling. I remember going “awwwwww Matt!” the first time I heard this version because I felt it. And you know a song is good when it can touch you like that.
Even if you don’t understand French, if you like pop/r&b type stuff, you should give him a listen. Hopefully you’ll like his stuff just as much as I do!
