6.30: Things that Made me Happy

Bonjour, and welcome to Friday! We made it, you guys! I don’t know if it’s just me, but this week has flown by swiftly. I honestly don’t know where the times went. Tomorrow is July, guys. How this year is halfway over is beyond me. So much has happened (worldwide mainly politically), and to think it all occurred within a 6 month times span is insane.

That gif makes me miss Gossip Girl…I loved that show!

Anyways, this has been a better week for me. I guess that was obvious when I returned, but it genuinely has. I’m not saying it was way better than the previous week, but I’m a little less detached and more present. I managed to move forward with Therapy for Souls and am happy with where the story is navigating. It’s always little things like that for me.

5.20 SOTD

Happy Saturday, everyone! It’s been so humid lately, yet I’m gonna try to get out of the house to write a today. My baby sister is graduating high school…that’s the last of us. Wow. Anyways, hope everyone’s has an amazing Saturday. Here’s today’s song of the day.

If you’ve ever watched Degrassi, then there’s a reason why Cassie Steele’s name sounds familiar. She played Manny Santos. I think she’s an absolutely underrated and amazing vocalist. Like, her albums were AMAZING and proved that she has a voice to be reckoned with.

Anyways, “Dreams” is probably my favorite song of hers, and it’s off of her latest EP. Again, I know it’s cliché to say that I relate to this song, but this song is the epitome of me. I swear, it’s like she tapped into my brain and wrote the song! I mean…

These lyrics describe exactly how I’ve been feeling and it’s astounding. This song is great. There’s light and shade, meaningful and positive lyrics, and her vocals are like magic. Give it a listen some time. Hopefully you’ll like it as much as I do.
